Monty Shultz, PLCSW, PLMHP, joined Wholeness Healing Center as a part-time therapist in January of 2010 after receiving his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Monty has a special interest in working with youth involved within the juvenile justice system. Monty believes all have the ability to make different choices in life and often just need the extra guidance to make those choices a reality.
Monty services both our Grand Island and Broken Bow offices and provides home-based services to the surrounding areas.
Experience
Monty has experience working with age groups ranging from children to the elderly. His background and life experience has provided him with the ability to work with individuals of all ethnic groups and social class. Monty has experience as a case manager, working within the Integrated Care Coordination Unit as well as experience facilitating groups for the Domestic Violence Intervention Program.
Additional Training
Monty has attended several workshops to enhance his skills and knowledge. He has completed trainings in Domestic Violence, Neurofeedback, Child Abuse and Neglect, The Culture of Poverty and Cultural Competence.
Personal
Monty has three children two girls and one boy who range in age from 7-16. Monty also has numerous animals that occupy his time. Monty enjoys spending time with his family as well as spending time gardening.
