Caroline Jones is a dually licensed therapist (Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor) working here at Wholeness Healing Center primarily doing substance abuse evaluations. She is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She particularly loves working with adolescents but has experience working with all ages.
Caroline received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Nebraska Wesleyan University. She then completed her Masters Degree in Community Counseling at University of Nebraska at Kearney. Her work experience includes a position as a Youth Care Worker at Boys Town Shelter in Grand Island, Internship at CenterPointe Dual Diagnosis Treatment Center in Lincoln, NE., as well as work as a licensed therapist at Epworth Village in York, NE., private practice in Grand Island, NE., and at the Student Wellness Center at Grand Island Senior High School.
"I believe people have a purpose in life despite road blocks and personal struggles. In counseling, my goal is to help address and manage whatever is standing in the way of the client’s goals and dreams. I believe in building on peoples’ strengths and empowering people to believe the best in themselves and in others. For some, counseling is a short journey to navigate through situational difficulties. For others, counseling is a long-term commitment to understanding and managing mental illness and/or substance abuse issues."
Caroline absolutely loves the field of counseling. "I thinks of it as both challenging and rewarding and I feel honored to serve my clients."
